Sin whispers softly to the heart,
A voice that teaches eyes to stray;
It paints deceit upon the tongue,
And leads the foolish far away.

But higher than the morning sky,
Your mercy towers ever bright;
Your righteousness like mountains stand,
Unmoved, enduring, filled with might.

Your judgments dive like ocean depths—
Unsearchable, yet always fair;
You save both humankind and beast,
Your kindness reaching everywhere.

How precious is Your steadfast love!
We shelter in Your wings unseen;
You feed us from Your flowing grace,
A banquet rich, a feast serene.

With You is life’s unfading spring,
The fountain where all blessings rise;
And in Your light we learn to see—
Your truth revealing to our eyes.

Continue, Lord, Your faithful love
To hearts that walk in honesty;
Let pride not press us to the dust,
Nor wicked hands bring injury.

For evil falls by its own path,
Its schemes undone, its power ceased;
But those held fast within Your grace
Will rest in mercy, live in peace.
